What a good day it is today. 40 degrees and loving it! I cannot believe January is half over. Where did that time go? School has started. It's still busy with the hustle and bustle of new students and past students figuring out their schedules and getting tuition paid. What a pain it is to find a parking spot. It's literally like the Hunger games to get a spot in the front. I just park in "the land of the dead" ( the outer most parking at UVU). Physiology is amazing! I love learning about the small things that don't seem important, but are vital in our survival.
This week my mother went up to Idaho to spend a week with my grandma. My grandpa died on December 30th, 2013. I'm grateful that I have a testimony about the plan of salvation. Even with that knowledge, it doesn't take the sadness away. I know my grandma is having a hard time. She is still a very strong woman regardless. I love her to bits and pieces. I hope to be as strong as she is one day. Because my mother is gone, I am filling in for her. I feel like I take for granted the little things my mom does like cook dinner and go grocery shopping, laundry, stocking toilet paper, and many other things. I love my mom and I am so thankful for the wonderful things she does everyday!! She is amazing!
One of my really good friends came home from his mission 2 weeks ago! It was so exciting to see him. Listening to him give his homecoming talk was incredible. The spirit was so strong with him. It radiated everywhere. I'm grateful for that amazing influence in my life. :)
I think I'm ready for spring. I love the snow and how it sparkles in the sunshine, but I'm sick of the ice, the freezing wind and the frozen mornings where it takes me half a tank of gas and a lot of scraping of car windows to be able to go to work... or anywhere for that matter. Spring is really just a few months away. I can't complain though, this winter has been mild compared to those that I've experienced in the past.
That's about it for now! Have a great day!!!
