Well another summer has gone by. School has started back up. May I say I have some pretty tough classes ahead of me.

My brother Niklaus is in the Mexico MTC. He leaves next week to report to his actual mission in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He's very excited. He seems like he's doing so good. I miss him a lot.

Fall is slowly approaching. I desperately want to wear boots, scarves and my long sleeve shirts, but the whether is teasing me just a little bit longer. I love the cool crispness of the mornings, but by noon, we are back to our usual dry 90 degrees.

I called this summer "The Medical Hell". I spent a great deal of my time in the hospital -ER, or in a doctors office. I believe I've had over 20 IV's placed. I have permanent damage to my arms because of it. I had my gallbladder and appendix out. That sure made a difference. It's nice to be able to eat again.

Well, back to work. I've got a test today.

Til next time

Today is not such a Sunny day. In fact, it's quite cold and rainy. A perfect day for sweats and some hot soup! Sacrament meeting was so good today, then I got into Gospel Doctrine class and it just went on and on and on. The girl that gives the lessons (when she gives the lessons) always talks. She just goes on and on and on and always goes over the time she has been given by at least 10 minutes. It's very hard to pay attention when she says "last quote" about 10 quotes ago. So needless to say, I spent a lot of my time being entertained by my friend Jamie. We are quite the spit fires :)

I'm moving out in 4 weeks! I'm so excited. I can't wait to meet new people and learn what Responsible really means (don't know if I'm really that's excited for that one). Anyway, I have my own room AND bathroom (thank goodness) and I have 3 other roomates. I haven't met them so I'm hoping they are nice. Anyway, I'm stressing about that and also preparing for my finals and taking the TEAS test to get into the RN program at UVU. Did I mention that I'm stressed?!?!?! Goodness there is a lot to go over. YIKES! But I know I can do it. I just have to keep my head up..... :)

February has gone by so fast! I'm pleased to see a few warmer days here. Spring is around the corner, I can feel it! Between school and work, there is no time to sit down!

My mother and my sister are going up to Idaho this weekend to visit my grandma. I wanted to go but I've got a lot of things to do this weekend. There is no school on Monday because of the holiday, so I will be studying a lot and making sure I'm caught up and partially ahead in all my textbook reading.

That is about it for this blog!

Aww another beautiful day in Provo. It's not very warm outside, but the sun is shining outside and that's all I need. I'm definitely soaking up my vitamin D :)

Today my little sister has a basketball game. She is a little spit fire! Just like her older sissy! She is so focused when she plays basketball. I'm excited to watch her :)

My poor brother was sick last night. It was 11:30 and all I heard was Jake throwing up and screaming "Amanda please come help me, I can't....bleh.....stop..." Good thing I'm going to be a nurse right? Haha so I went and got him some promethazine (like zofran or phenagren). He took some and felt much better. I guess no more pneumonia pills for him. They make him sick :(

My friend Nate is coming over tonight to eat dinner. I'm excited to cook some fun food and have a good time with him :)

Well better get "crack-a-lackin"!!!

Today was awesome!!

I went to visit my very good friend Nate who came home from his mission 2 weeks ago. I'm glad he still has his great personality! He is such a wonderful person. It was nice to have a good friend that I trust to talk to. 2 years is a very long time!

My little sister played her heart out today in her basketball game. Her team played against the number 1 team in her league. They only lost by 9 points. She made some awesome shots and got some really good rebounds. That little fire ball stole the ball countless times and was a good defender. Let's just say she's good at what she does!

I made banana muffins today. I was so busy making dinner and doing laundry at the same time, that I forgot to add the flour! OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! They completely melted into what looked like tar. My brother Jake was awesome and carefully disposed of the droopy muffins (into the neighbors back yard lol) before my dad figured out that I ruined them. So we made another batch, this time triple checking that we (I) put the flour in.

Mom comes home tomorrow! YAY!! I'm so happy to have my mommy back. I miss her a lot. In fact, I think we all do. Mom just kind of smooths things over. I'll just have to make sure that after school I clean the house well so when she get's home the laundry is done, dishes are done and everything is tidy. I can't imagine not having my mom with me.

Tomorrow will be great! Today is great! Oh, looks like my brother is home from ballroom, gotta go see how it was!

What a good day it is today. 40 degrees and loving it! I cannot believe January is half over. Where did that time go? School has started. It's still busy with the hustle and bustle of new students and past students figuring out their schedules and getting tuition paid. What a pain it is to find a parking spot. It's literally like the Hunger games to get a spot in the front. I just park in "the land of the dead" ( the outer most parking at UVU). Physiology is amazing! I love learning about the small things that don't seem important, but are vital in our survival.
This week my mother went up to Idaho to spend a week with my grandma. My grandpa died on December 30th, 2013. I'm grateful that I have a testimony about the plan of salvation. Even with that knowledge, it doesn't take the sadness away. I know my grandma is having a hard time. She is still a very strong woman regardless. I love her to bits and pieces. I hope to be as strong as she is one day. Because my mother is gone, I am filling in for her. I feel like I take for granted the little things my mom does like cook dinner and go grocery shopping, laundry, stocking toilet paper, and many other things. I love my mom and I am so thankful for the wonderful things she does everyday!! She is amazing!
One of my really good friends came home from his mission 2 weeks ago! It was so exciting to see him. Listening to him give his homecoming talk was incredible. The spirit was so strong with him. It radiated everywhere. I'm grateful for that amazing influence in my life. :)
I think I'm ready for spring. I love the snow and how it sparkles in the sunshine, but I'm sick of the ice, the freezing wind and the frozen mornings where it takes me half a tank of gas and a lot of scraping of car windows to be able to go to work... or anywhere for that matter. Spring is really just a few months away. I can't complain though, this winter has been mild compared to those that I've experienced in the past.
That's about it for now! Have a great day!!!
